Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg has revealed that he thought of taking his personal life after he was wrongly accused of racism.

The official was accused of creating a racist remark in direction of two Chelsea gamers, together with John Obi Mikel, in a fixture towards Manchester United in 2012.

The allegations triggered investigations by the Soccer Affiliation and the Metropolitan Police.

Clattenburg missed 4 weeks of Premier League motion whereas the FA investigated the criticism.

The allegations have been later dismissed by the Soccer Affiliation and the police dropped their very own inquiry. 

And Chelsea admitted they ‘regretted’ the way in which they dealt with the accusation and the ‘intense media scrutiny’ confronted by the referee and his household.

He was accused of creating feedback to 2 Chelsea gamers in a sport towards Man United

The referee later went on to officiate the Euro 2016 final and the Champions League final

Clattenburg revealed the allegations brought about him to think about suicide, however that he determined towards it due to his new child daughter.
