Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis has showcased his class with the bat, plundering a century as Australia comfortably beat Scotland by 70 runs within the second T20 fixture in Edinburgh on Friday.
Inglis, 29, used his toes beautifully and scored runs throughout the bottom as he hit 103 with Australia reaching an imposing 4-196 off 20 overs.
The wicketkeeper-batsman was born in England – and the ‘native’ clearly relished the foggy circumstances overseas.
When Inglis hoisted Brad Currie for successive sixes to achieve his second ODI century, he did so off simply 43 balls.
In doing so he eclipsed Alyssa Healy’s report, who belted a ton off 46 balls in opposition to Sri Lanka in 2019.
