Ashley Younger has introduced his retirement from soccer, closing the curtain on a stellar profession.

The previous England and Manchester United star, who has been taking part in for Ipswich since 2025, confirmed the information on X on Thursday, saying: ‘From Sefton Highway to Vicarage Highway to Villa Park to Wembley to Previous Trafford to San Siro again to Villa Park to Goodison Park and eventually to Portman Highway.

Younger, 40, will hope his last act shall be securing promotion to the Premier League with Ipswich City, who sit second within the Championship forward of a three-way battle for the ultimate automated spot on the final day of the season.
