A former Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of raping a lady at a London resort.
The 24-year-old was detained by police on the unique Corinthia Lodge, in Whitehall Place, Westminster, on October 9.
The worldwide footballer, who can’t be named for authorized causes, has been bailed till a date in mid-December pending additional investigations by police.
It is understood the feminine complainant, believed to be in her 20s, reported the alleged assault on the entrance desk of the five-star resort early on Wednesday morning.
